Standard Cable Gripper (Male)

Standard Suspension Cable Gripper (Male)
The Standard Suspension Cable Gripper (Male Thread) is a fundamental, streamlined suspension interface engineered for direct integration into architectural lighting fixtures. Featuring a solid external threaded top stud (typically M4 or 1/4-20), this component is designed to screw directly and securely into the top housing of a luminaire or mounting bracket. The intuitive design utilizes a bottom-entry push-plunger where the aircraft cable feeds straight through the vertical axis of the cylinder and exits cleanly out the top. This inline routing allows for rapid, tool-less height adjustment while maintaining a minimal visual footprint, making it an essential component for clean, modern pendant and linear lighting suspensions.
Designer’s Note
Because this gripper features a straight-through vertical cable path, it is critical to ensure that the area immediately above the fixture mounting point has sufficient clearance to accommodate the exiting cable "tail". When making micro-adjustments to the suspension height, always support the dead weight of the fixture from below before depressing the bottom release plunger to prevent damage to the internal ball-bearing clutch.
