Designer’s Note: Installation Best Practices

For all structural terminations, utilize aluminum swage sleeves or ferrules crimped with a specialized hand tool; avoid knots or tape, which significantly compromise the rated tensile strength. Always cut the cable using sharp, dedicated cable cutters to prevent the individual wires from fraying or unraveling. When calculating loads, apply a minimum design factor of 5:1 and ensure that tension never exceeds the specified SWL. In outdoor or commercial fixture installations, verify that all anchor points and support structures are capable of handling the combined static and dynamic load.
